Rock - Free Solo & High Ball Bouldering

Category Climb

Is Free Solo Rock Climbing the pinnacle of human achievement?  Imagine scaling a 3,000-foot vertical rock face with no ropes, no harnesses, and no room for error. This was the scene when Alex Honnold completed the first-ever free solo ascent of El Capitan’s Freerider route in Yosemite National Park on June 3, 2017. Honnold’s climb, which took 3 hours and 56 minutes, was immortalized in the Oscar-winning documentary “Free Solo” and is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletic achievements of all time.
