How high?  Mt. Everest has been flown, but Judy Leden exceeded that height by launching from a balloon at 11,800 m (38,800 ft.) How far? Dustin B. Martin, flew a world record straight distance of 764 km (475 mi) in 2012, starting from Zapata, Texas and flying north. The flight took about 11 hours, averaging 69km/h (43 mph).
